Tee Ball FAQs

Q: What are the ages for Tee Ball?
 
A: Typical ages are 4-5.

Q: Do you keep score and are there umpires?
 A: No. The Tee Ball division is structured to teach the very basic fundamentals of baseball. The games are self-umpired by the volunteer managers and coaches.

Q: How long are games?

A: Games are approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

Q: What size field do they play on and where is the field?
 A: All games and practices are played at Miller Park. Bases are 40’ apart.

Q: Can I request to have my child play on a team with their friends?
 A: Yes. In this age group, since there are no evaluations or draft, we will do our best to accommodate teammate requests. Please make these requests during registration.

Q: What kind of baseball is used?
 A: A soft core baseball is used to prevent injury and provide for a good learning experience.

Q: How much will my child get to play?
 A: Kids are expected to play at least 75% of the time at this level.
