Click here to download a map of Lynchburg Little League's boundaries.
If your child lives outside our league recruitment area and you would like him or her to play in our League, please contact the League President, Matt Combs.  If necessary, he will need to get a Rule Waiver from Little League International to allow your child to play in our League.  It is usually (nearly always) possible to get approval for regular Season privileges, although getting approval to have Tournament Privileges (play All Stars) is very unlikely.

T-ball:
T-ball focuses on skill development, team work, sportsmanship, and fun.  The batter hits the ball off a tee.  All players on each team bat each inning.  Runs and outs are not counted.  Lots of smiles, lots of fun.  Baseball in its purest form.

For t-ball there are two (occasionally 3) events per week
In-season: 2 games and an optional one practice per week
Events last 60-90 minutes
Season starts in April, ends by the beginning of June/end of May
Events are at Perrymont Elementary and Miller Park

Lower Minors (Coach Pitch):
The Lower Minors continues focus on skill development, team work, sportsmanship, and fun.  The coach pitches to batters on his team or a pitching machine is used.  There are no strike outs.  If a player fails to hit a pitched ball, he or she hits a ball from a tee.  All players on each team bat each inning.  Runs and outs are not counted.

For t-ball there are two or 3 events per week depending upon the availability of coaches and players
Pre-season March 15-April 10: 2 practices per week
In-season: 2 games and an optional one practice per week
Events last 60-90 minutes
Season starts in April, ends by the beginning of June/end of May
Events are at Linkhorne and Sandusky  Elementary and Miller Park

Upper Minors:
The Upper Minors is the first competitive age group.  The players pitch.  There are balls, strikes, walks and outs, but runners can not take leads from bases before the pitch.   Games are scored, but as in all Little League games, the most important things are skill development, team work, sportsmanship, and fun.  There is a tournament at the end of the regular season, and two All Star teams are selected and play in the District 2 Championship versus Timbrook, Altavista and Danville Little Leagues.  The winner of the District goes to the State Tournament.
Practices Begin March 15, Games Begin April 10

Information on Approved Bats

The moratorium on composite-barreled baseball bats remains in effect. However, some composite-barreled baseball bats that have been proven in laboratory testing to meet the BPF (Bat Performance Factor) standard throughout the life of the bat, through the Accelerated Break-In (ABI) process, have received waivers.
